Shorts 2: The fight for freedom continues. Happy Independence Day!šŸ’

Who knew that certain countries that are a curse on society would take such disastrous steps against humanity at large.

The last two years for all of us have been like someone has breathed life into a horror story. I don't want to recount the pain of millions of people across my country who battled migration, job loss, medical complications, death and something worse than death - debt. A debt on the living to clean up and make nice the after-effects of perversions and lack of competence of the people in power to provide for the people who put them there.

The bright side of the pandemic was that we all rose to help our friends, neighbours and people in need, such as, our daily help, security personnel and vendors who provide us invaluable services. It was heartwarming to watch common folk opening up their homes, kitchens and hearts to the ones in need. Vaccines, bed arrangements, ration supply, medical supply were made by the diligent forces that we have all come to thank and cheer. If ever there was a surplus of heroes, it was during these past two years.

We may not be done with it yet but we've proved that we can't be done in by it. Right? On our nation's 75th Independence Day, we can't ignore the fight that our armed forces and covid warriors are doing to keep us safe every single day. The timelines are different, but the fight for freedom continues.

Salute the warriors and support our:

About

ā€‹The Happy Brahmin food journey began with a simple idea of documenting and sharing my daily menu. I wanted to gather and showcase the simple yet powerful confluence of humble, everyday vegetarian, ingredients. I believe that the way we honour our ingredients, goes on to exhibit the glow in our skin, twinkle in our eyes and the zest in our speech and actions.
